Wash Park was killer. Mt bike style course, good weather, good friends, fire, beer, bells, a perfect cross day in Oct. Ended up 2nd in Cat 3. Motivation for CX has stared.

The Blaster was sick. The weather was perfect and the racing was hot. 1 and 2 lap racers were putting it down. Some of these guys and gals out there haven't ridden a bike much at all this year and they were getting after it. Super rad to see it. Then the 3 and 4 lap guys had at it. I seemed to put a little to much into the parade lap for some but I guess I was just excited. As we came around and headed out for lap 1, Maciej put the gas at full and was followed by Ronsta and Bender. After settling in to the race, Ronsta and Bender were out front being chased by pretty much everyone. After 3 beers and lots of leg cramps, the race was over. Barry hit the dirt only because he had so much power that he spun the wheel on a wet bridge and went down..... and of course, he was catching me. Yeah right!
Abbey won the women's 3 lap race.
Bender took the 4 lap men's title followed by Ronsta in 2nd and JC in 3rd.
Epic! See ya next year.

This is Barry. He thinks he's fast because he lives in Vail. He's on a plane right now coming to Wisco to race Beechwood and seems to think that we Wisconsin boys don't know about Mt biking and that Beechwood is just a trail. He is in for an awakening!

WORS FINAL - SHEBOYGAN

2008 WORS is finally over. Ended the year with a super fun race at Sheboygan. Got the $20 bucks for the holeshot award and ended up getting 2nd for the day. Darin stared in the 1st wave and I just couldn't catch him. But I took the Overall COMP title for the year. STOKED!

One more MTB race -----------BEECHWOOD ! -------Fuck it's gonna be hard.

Friday in the Fall......the days are getting shorter and the night colder. After work rides are almost non existent. I had to sneak in a 20 min ride back to work from lunch today. Even got a few sections of single track. STOKED! 1 week until the BLASTER...

the more i ride single gear bikes, the more i hate gears-------------
- gears break
- they don't work good in mud
- chain slap is annoying as hell
- the shifters clutter up your bars
- the cables look gay
- they are more expensive
- they make cleaning your ride way more of a pain in the ass
- and, of course they are slower!

I can't seem to find the time to build the Vagen up yet. Between work, riding, hanging, yard work, etc..... the Vagen is idle in Garage864. I am pretty sure it will be done by next week.

Polska sandwich! Wed night has gone from the local group ride to the Kletsch Park CX ride. Picnic table barriers, smooth single track, and long run ups are all quickly getting us all in shape for the fall cross season. Seems as if there are many other CX groups around Milwaukee doing the same thing but this is the shit. Stoked on it boys!
